HELMINGHAM FESTIVAL

The Helmingham Festival of Classic and Sports cars is an annual event now in its 10th year featuring over 500 classic and sports cars, with thousands of visitors all in the glorious setting of Helmingham Hall and this year featuring the Eastern Region club stand. 18 shiny, colour coordinated 5s, roadsters and a Miata, from the MK1 up to the MK3 showed the visitors the MX-5 in all its guises. All our cars feature comprehensive specification sheets designed by Jon Elsey, so at least everyone knew what they were looking at. And with a supercharged ands two turboed cars we were not under powered. The club stand next door to us was the local Lotus Owners Cub and by a coincidence feature by next door neighbour and his pristine Lotus Esprit !

We were supported at the festival by Underwoods Mazda Main Dealer with a Mazda hospitality unit which came complete with useful kettle and fridge!

We were located next to an events ring which featured various activities during the day, and we are still all wondering if the guy who did the falconry display ever did get his bird back.

Thanks to Tula for supplying some very nice sausage rolls and cake which always go down very well and thanks to everyone who attended on the day, we certainly made an impression.
