EASTERN
REGION ON TOUR SPRING 2005
MX-5 OWNERS CLUB MARGAM PARK
SPRING RALLY 2005
Information updated
06.05.05
Quite a
few Eastern Region members are planning to make the trip to
Wales for the national spring rally on Saturday 14 Sunday 15
May. It promises to be another excellent opportunity to meet up
with loads of other owners and have a fun weekend away.
Check
here for full details of the event. Please do register with
the Rally organisers if you are planning to come.
For those
that want to travel up together the plan at the moment is to
leave at a reasonably early hour on the Saturday morning and
travel via the A14, M6, M42, M5, M4, picking people up along
the route. Hopefully we will arrive early afternoon so after a
blast on the motorways we can then spend the afternoon enjoying
some serious driving on the scenic Welsh roads. The Rally
organisers have plans for three alternative drives, details of
which they will publish before the event so we should be able
decide on the best to take part in before we arrive.
On the
Saturday evening we are planning to hold one of the now
legendary Eastern Region unofficial BBQs at the
Margam Park campsite. Everyone is welcome to come, please
bring your own sausage and drink. Whilst a number of us will be
camping dont worry if you arent you will still be more than
welcome to turn up on the night.
And dont
forget on the Sunday we are taking part in The Great Gambo
Race, an event not to be missed.
Final
details of the Saturday morning convoy are as follows;

between 1.00pm - 2.00pm depending on the stops etc.
Afternoon
driving through Wales on one of the organised routes which we
will be able to pick up from Margam or hopefully get before hand
if they post on the web site as promised.
The total
distance from Ipswich to Margam Park is approx. 295 miles.
We
have a rough idea of those that will be meeting up at 6.00am but
if you could please confirm before the day it would be
appreciated, so we dont leave anyone behind.
